Green Energy Power Plant
Construction company, Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions contracted Advanced Insulation and Fabrications for this project.
The 24MW bagasse-fired plant at Tableland Sugar Mill is the first of four green energy power plants to be built at MSF Sugar operations across Queensland.
This project saw over 7,000sq metres of surface area with equipment insulated with multiple layers of Rockwool insulation as temperatures range from 60 to 535 degrees Celsius. We installed metal-sheathed with panel rib on square equipment and structures. Mill finish aluminium was used on the vessels and pipework.
Over 2,500 linear meters of pipework was completed comprising of bends, tees and valves. With temperatures ranging from 60 to 535 degrees Celsius again, multiple layers were required for maximum conservation of heat loss.
